Annual Social & Auction 2020

The Glebe Elementary School PTA Spring Social & Auction funds more than 70% of the activities and projects by the Glebe PTA. It is our most important fundraiser.

More than 300 Glebe parents, staff, teachers, and administrators attend the Social & Auction and enjoy food, drinks, and socializing while bidding on parties, class projects, teacher experiences, arts and sporting tickets, classes, kids activities, household items, services, and more. More than 3-dozen Glebe parents volunteer to make the Social & Auction a success, and many more donate. Almost all of our teachers, staff, and administration donate their time and resources to the auction.

ADMISSION IS FREE but this is an ADULTS ONLY EVENT (reserve a sitter now). Non-alcoholic drinks, delicious hors d’oeuvres, and desserts are included for FREE to everyone at the party; we ask that you register (no purchase required) in advance to ease registration that night.

Where Do Auction Proceeds Go?

Funds raised go to PTA activities and events:

  • Classroom Manipulatives; Subscriptions; Supplies; & Teacher Awards & Grants;
  • Homework Club & Summer School;
  • Field day; 5th Grade Graduation; Multicultural Night; Soccer Fiesta;
  • Glebe Community Nourishment/Food Pantry;
  • Enrichment Scholarships;
  • Playground improvements and the Walking Path.

Family Donations

SPONSOR the Social & Auction with a Family Monetary Donation: Family monetary donations are used to purchase big tickets items, to round out prize packages, and to defray auction expenses.

DONATE a Specific Item, Experience or Service: We receive donations of vacation home time, tickets to sporting events and concerts, gift certificates for special experiences, professional services…

CONNECT us to your business, employer, or vendor: Work at a firm that has sports tickets or a box? Have cool corporate swag or a connection to tour a unique business like a TV or radio station? Let us know!

HOST a party for the Glebe Community: Families join together to host amazing theme parties and dinners and activities. No party is too small or too big to be a fun experience for Glebe families!

Golden Ticket/Live Auction Ticket

Purchase a $100 raffle ticket for the opportunity to win a live auction item, including vacations, parties, and “priceless” experiences such as our newest Principal/Vice Principal experience package (prize is the winner’s choice of any Live Auction Item valued under $5,500, and may exclude items as announced prior to the live auction).

The winner gets to choose which prize they want before the auctioneer starts the Live Auction bidding. You will be the envy of everyone at the auction as you survey the items and choose your BIG PRIZE. LAST YEAR’S WINNER WON A STAY AT A BEACH HOUSE!

Student/Teacher Raffle

The Student/Teacher raffle is the kids’ chance to participate in the auction fun! Each child receives one raffle ticket provided by the PTA, and can purchase additional tickets for .25 cents. Kids may play the raffle mornings from April 14-17, 2020, and winners will be announced on Friday afternoon, April 17, 2020 by our own Principal Borg!

Popular raffle items include outdoor games, sports themed items, electronic and video games, gift cards, and any current “hot” items, including items that teachers may want to win.

Have Extra Holiday Gifts? Or Duplicate Birthday gifts?  Please consider re-gifting unopened, unused gifts, toys, electronics, gift certificates…to the 2020 Raffle (please nothing used).
