One of our favorite days of the year! Field Day is an all-school event in June where students, and in some cases teachers, participate in friendly sporting events throughout the day. Our Field Day coordinator works with the Physical Education staff to coordinate and assist them where needed. Additionally, the PTA provides a lunch for all students and volunteers and solicits a small army of parent volunteers for event.
For more details or to be more involved, please contact Field Day Coordinator Deb Ryan (email).
A Few Reminders
- The PTA buys lunch for everyone! This is usually hot dogs, chips, vegetables, watermelon, milk, water, and lemonade. Hummus with pita sandwiches and string cheese are also available. If your child does not like these items, you can send a packed lunch to school.
- Students should wear: T-shirts, (blue or white depending on their team) with shorts and a bathing suit underneath (some games are wet!). Contact Deb or Mr. H if you are unsure which team your student is on.
- Please don’t forget to send: sunscreen (already applied!), a hat, a filled water bottle, sneakers, and an extra healthy snack to help your student have a fun day!
